Competition

WIN! ELECTRIC EDEN BOOKS

The prize
Rob Young’s Electric Eden, a massive survey of more than a century of music making in the British Isles published by Faber on 5th August, investigates how the idea of folk has been handed down and transformed by successive generations – song collectors, composers, Marxist revivalists, folk-rockers, psychedelic voyagers, free festival goers, experimental pop stars and electronic innovators. There’s a short excerpt in the current Aug/Sept 2010 fRoots.

And we have 10 copies for you to have a go at winning. All you have to do to be in with a chance is email your answers to comps@frootsmag.com - and don’t forget to give us your name and realmail address.

Q: No Roses. Recorded in what year?

NOTE: The spirit of fRoots competitions is that they are open to all readers of fRoots magazine and anybody else with a genuine interest in the musics covered. So-called "compers" who trawl the net for competitions and then post the answers on competition newsgroups to allow the non-involved general public to enter can prevent more deserving people from winning. Please don't do that. fRoots reserves the right to disqualify entries from such sources when detected.
